The Federal Government has approved the construction of 35km concrete road by Dangote constructions, a subsidiary of Dangote Group, from Tincan to toll gate in Lagos State.

The minister, who noted that the road construction will span through Tincan, Mile2, Oshodi, Anthony, Oworonshoki to toll gate, said “Work will start in the month of November, quote me that I said so.”

Also speaking, Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu, said when the administration came on board it met several abandoned water projects that would have supported irrigation farming across the country.

He said the 12 river basin authorities that should have been the backbone for irrigation agriculture turned into agencies for awarding contracts for keke-Napeps, pumps and fertilizers.

He also added that no city could boast of pipe borne water supply, the reason why his ministry is supporting state governments in providing potable water for the teaming masses.

In his remarks, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi said FG was ready to rebuild and concession Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos.

He said government is negotiating how to get investors to rebuild and manage the airport themselves.
