Speaking at the launch in Lagos, the chairperson, Livestock247.com, Ms Amina Oyagbola, said the technology seeks to substantially limit the dangers in the distribution, handling and preparation of livestock by simplifying access to healthy and fit processes.
Oyagbola said that the platform was designed to enable livestock investors, owners and farmers to be readily matched with buyers and consumers anywhere in the country as well as creating a logistical value chain for the benefits of all stakeholders in the industry.
She said, “This platform is structured to bring together all livestock stakeholders. We connect buyers, sellers, merchants, veterinary professionals and providers of logistics. Our assurance to all stakeholders in the livestock chain is that they can select the most cost effective, convenient and healthy livestock with the click of a finger.

The Chief Executive Officer, Livestock247.com, Mr Ibrahim Maigari, in a presentation, described the technology as multidimensional with the ability to impact development, create more jobs and trigger the growth of the economy within the livestock sector.
Maigari added that the platform was created to intensify production and enable commerce by bringing together every stakeholder and ensuring they get fit-for-slaughter and traceable livestock at an affordable price.
