Google Chrome users are being urged to update their browsers immediately, after it emerged that a major security flaw is being exploited by hackers.
Over 60% of internet users worldwide currently opt for the Chrome browser, which is the default browser on all Google devices and can be downloaded for free on the internet.

The vulnerability is reportedly a memory safety error, which could allow hackers to execute malicious code on a target’s computer.
Google issued an update for Chrome on March 1 that should fix the vulnerability, which it described as “high” in severity.
However, it is up to users to protect themselves by making sure they are running the latest version of Chrome – version 72.0.3626.121.
To update your Chrome browser, follow these steps:
1. On your computer, open Chrome.
3. Click Update Google Chrome. If you don’t see this button, you’re on the latest version.
4. Click Relaunch.
