Apple Watch Can Now Track Your Menstrual Cycle And Tell You When You’re Fertile

Apple’s new Cycle Tracking feature could help you get pregnant

Apple is launching a new period-tracking app that will allow users to record their menstrual cycles and receive notifications when they are fertile.

Known as Cycle Tracking, the app will be available on the iPhone, within the Health app, and on the Apple Watch as a standalone app.

Users will be able to log important information related to their menstrual cycles and see predicted timing for their next period and fertile window.

The daily log function enables users to quickly add information such as current period, flow, symptoms, results from ovulation prediction kits and other elements of fertility tracking.

The announcement is bad news for apps such as Clue, Ava and Natural Cycles, which already offer period-tracking features on the iPhone.

Unlike these apps, Apple says that all data collected through the Cycle Tracking app will be stored locally on the Apple Watch or iPhone, meaning it can’t be shared with third parties.
