The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has commended the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation for its interest in establishing a biofuel refinery in the state.

The governor gave the commendation when he received the delegation from the Renewable Energy Department of the NNPC in his office.

He noted that the effort of his administration in making the state safe for investors and citizens was already paying off.

Earlier, the leader of the team, Mr Danjuma Yakubu, said the team had carried out soil test at the proposed site for the refinery in Alape and decided to brief the governor on the development.
