DPR Approves New Safety Guidelines

The Department of Petroleum Resources of Ministry of Petroleum Resources have issued new guidelines for implementation in the Nigeria Oil and Gas industry.

The guidelines approved by the Director/CEO are:
1. Safety Case Guidelines for Oil and Gas Facilities in Nigeria;
2. Guidelines for Work at Height and Confined Space Entry;
3. Guidelines for the Establishment and Operations of Emergency and Training Safety Centre.

The guidelines are available at the Department’s website https://www.dpr.gov.ng/dpr-guidelines/ for reference. With particular mentioned are Exploration and Production companies, Oil and Gas Downstream companies and Servicing Companies in Nigeria. They are advised to comply with the circular.
