Vacancy: NITDA Special Intervention Training For Graduates Unemployed Youths

The Software Industry and IT Services have been recognized as having the potential to transform the economy, create jobs and contribute significantly to country’s GDP. It is also a potent tool to constructively engage the youths and stir up their creative abilities.

As part of the efforts to develop capacity, promote local content, and create digital jobs in Nigeria, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) wishes to conduct training for unemployed graduates of tertiary institutions on IT knowledge, entrepreneurial skills, commercially viable Mobile and Web Applications.

The programme, according to the agency would be delivered virtually for a period of Six (6) Weeks.

The objectives of the training include the following:

i. Train and facilitate skill acquisition to youths by using best in class knowledge and training materials that allows them to be competitive globally (Skill Acquisition);

ii. Enable the participants to further their careers within the web and mobile app development industries (Job Creation);

iii. Provide skills and tools for successful trainees to carry on self-development post-training and generate income by taking their skills to market (Entrepreneurship) ; and

iv. Establish a knowledge economy, where digital jobs and opportunities flourish and more widely supported in the industry.
