Axxela Limited is a subsidiary of Glover Gas & Power B.V., a portfolio venture of Helios Investment Partners LLP. We are currently pursuing a growth strategy aimed at expanding our over $500m investments in the Oil & Gas industry. Our vision is to power Africa with innovative energy solutions. We have developed over 300km gas pipeline networks in Nigeria, and we are currently delivering natural gas to about 180 industrial and commercial consumers in Nigerian and West African markets.
We are looking for an Information Technology domain expert to join Axxela’s Information Technology Team. The role requires practical experience in leading technology transformation, systems strategy design and implementation, enterprise architecture formulation, business optimization, and technology advisory for new business ventures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee Axxela’s IT Strategy through the conceptualization, design and implementation of mission-critical Data / Information Security systems, plans and policies
- Provision of robust technical advice to the Axxela Management Team and Strategic Partners
- Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems.
- Ensure resilient Disaster Recovery strategy and plan that guarantees continuous business operation in line with performance indicators.
- Provide management oversight on all outsourced services. Evaluate business requirements and determine optimal technical approach for business continuity and solution delivery
- Identify, develop, build and maintain a security strategy and model, security-related procedures, standards and policies to protect the privacy and integrity of data reduce risks and exposures to cyber threats, whilst enhancing the business efficiency
- Ensure that Axxela’s IT strategy delivers appropriate technology enabled solutions.
- Manage the company’s IT infrastructure by providing the framework, support and capabilities essential for superior service delivery.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 2:2 in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related subject area
- Minimum 15 years cognate work experience within the Information Technology department; the last 5 years of which must have been at Senior Management level in a reputable and structured business environment
