The council for the regulation of engineering of Nigeria (COREN) is statutory mandated by sections 19 and 20 of Engineers (Registration Etc. (Amendment Act No. 3, 2018 to establish the engineering Regulation Monitoring (ERM) Department, charged with the duties of Regulation and Control and Ensuring that Engineering Practised in Nigeria in accordance with the relevant code and standard of engineering practise in the protection of her National Development and Economic Investment.
