Margaret Oguntala has become the first female engineer to win the position of Deputy President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers in its over 63 years of existence.
The election filled with so much euphoria was keenly campaigned by contestants.
The election which was disclosed by the Society’s Deputy President, Engr. Tasiu Gidari-Wudil during the Annual General meeting holding in Abuja to have been hacked is managed by Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NigComSat), a company under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Communications
The incoming President disclosed that the Electoral Committee had earlier discovered the cyber attack on the election portal https://www.idecide.com.ng/ and they are working to resolve the problem.
With this victory, Engr Oguntala is set to become the first female President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers in 2024.
