Nigeria Sets For Dronetecx Expo 2022, As DG NCAA Participates

Arrangements have been concluded for the second edition of Dronetecx Conference, which is slated for May 10-12, 2022 at the NIGAV Centre at the Murtala Muhammed Airport 9MMA), Lgaos.

Mr. Fortune Idu, the Chairman, Organising Committee Drone Technology Conference and Exhibition said that the 2022 edition is with the theme: ‘Paving a Successful Future for Drones Development in Nigeria and Africa.’

Idu told journalists in Lagos that Capt. Musa Nuhu, the Director-General of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has indicated the willingness to be a part of the exhibition.

According to him, the regulatory body has so far operated a very fair playing field for the drone industry to take off with a five years projection, adding that drone applications would also be available in all sectors and field with the country experiencing exponential growth in technology.

Idu explained that Musa would speak on the topic: ‘Update on Regulatory Framework’ that is aimed at driving a safe drone and UAS future.

He said the paper would prepare the industry towards a progressive future for the technology optimization, stressing that over 18 industry leaders would speak at the conference, while 250 delegates and 1,000 daily visitors were expected at the exhibition. Other expected participants are the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, Accident Investigation Bureau-Nigeria (AIB-N), Aerospace Global Air Academy, Asseco and Ariel among others.
