NIEEE Launches Harmonized Training Prospectus For EE Professionals

The Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, NIEEE is setting a robust structure for Continuous Professional Development of the Electrical and Electronic engineering professionals through a Harmonized Training Prospectus developed to serve as a Training Policy of the Institute. In a launch recently, the National Chairman, Engr Akan Michael said the Prospectus takes into consideration all stakeholders to deliver a mutually beneficial training package to all parties.

He listed the objectives of the training guidelines to include improving on professional competency of  members and nonmembers through training and retraining,  harmonize and centralize the issuance of certificates for ease of authentication and proper auditing to address the issue of forged NIEEE certificates in circulation, create job opportunities for our members (trainers) and also revenue for the Institute.

In a brief slides presentation, the Deputy National Chairman, Engr Felix Olu whose responsibility is to coordinate the training explained the process of registration as an Agent and the accrued benefits. He responded to few of the concerns raised by stakeholders. He mentioned that the success of the training guidelines will position NIEEE has a professional Institute.

The Immediate Past National Chairman, Engr Kings Adeyemi  commended the efforts of those who initiated the idea and work to bring it into fruition.

The Institute has worked to develop the model of the Harmonized Training Prospectus to serve one of its cardinal objectives since since 2021.

The Institute considers Continuous Professional Development as one of the core responsibilities to members’ empowerment.
