ABSTRACT
The impact of energy in our society is a subject that needs attention. We use motorcycle, cars, and other materials/machines/processes emitting dangerous gases into the atmosphere everyday without been cautious of the associated risk such as acid rain precipitation, ozone layer depletion and global warming. Scientist, engineers and broadcaster have tried in many ways to help create awareness and reduce the usage/deployment of these materials/processes.
One major progress, scientists and engineers have, made in the past few decades is the improvement in energy efficiency, via direct energy conversion systems, which have consequently led to direct environmental benefit.

The techno-economic analysis of Chemical Looping Combustion (CLC) system, which was used as a case study in this report, shows great improvement in energy efficiency by either a reduction in the destruction of exergy in the combustion unit of the system or by waste heat utilization either through additional power generation unit using a steam turbine or by cooling, especially in gulf regions with harsh weather conditions, using Absorption Chilling (AC).
This efficiency improvement pathways, no doubt, amounts to comparative cost benefits and other economic gains

When considering Nigeria as a case study, majority of the dwellers are poor to afford a renewable source of energy compare to fossil fuel and other.
But not withstanding if the efficiency could be put in place and government creating awareness of the danger of the gases I think this could help the nation.
Even according to the research, since the gas is found in the air, the effect might not take place in the country where the action is done, it could be transported to a very far distance, now what government could do in this case is to impose tax on these gases generation

Most energy efficiency improvement produces direct Environmental benefit in two ways;
Firstly, operating energy input requirements are reduced per unit output, and pollutant generated are correspondingly reduced.
Secondly, consideration for entire life cycle for energy resources and technologies suggest that improve efficiency reduces Environmental impact during most stages of the life cycle
Your work made it clearer that energy conservation is also important to look into.
Based on biomass energy resources as one of the renewable energy sources, how efficient is its energy generation when installed? I have seen some people venturing into the business of installing biomass energy systems for people in Nigeria recently, and I believe it can be successful just like solar energy systems are now successful in Nigeria.
Renewable energy is developing rapidly in Nigeria. Do you think we can have renewable energy systems replace fuel generators in homes in Nigeria? This is because you mentioned “consumer preferences” as one of the important factors to be considered in determining the future level of a country’s energy consumption and production. And I believe a good number of people will be interested in an energy system which is noiseless and less expensive to maintain.

1. Energy conservation through improve efficiency.
2. Switching from fossil fuels to more environmentally friendly form( which include the increase use of renewable energy resources and technologies).
3 strategic planning( acceleration of forestation to absorb CO2 emitted, reducing the energy usage by changing the lifestyle and creating public awareness for the encouragement of the new technology and shift to the new technology). 2 different machine where given practical test in the book.

The energy balance technique that can be used to reduce impact of energy generation, is by comparing the efficiency and environmental impact of a plant before choosing a plant
2 plants ( conventional GTP and GTP incorporated with chemical looping combustion) are sighted as example in the book of which there efficiency and flue gas emission was fact checked.
In the paper, the energy associated with flue gases in convectional GTP will be more than energy associated with flue gases in GTP incorporated with CLC in case study 1.
Therefore for the sake of these, GTP incorporated with CLC is highly recommended for the sake of the environment.

1. Changing from the use of CO2 exhaust engine to a more environmentally friendly engines( solar powered engines, wind etc)
2. Making the above accessible

The 2 case studies given in the book clearly states the advantage of the machines over one another( base on efficiency and also flue gas emission).
Now what the book is trying to figure out is to choose an environmentally more friendly machine for it’s low impact on the environment and can also give a higher efficiency as well. Which means to improve the energy generation in Nigeria, we need a more environmentally friendly input just as the gas turbine plant associated with chemical looping combustion is recommended in the case study 1.
Question 2:
The performance of the the solution can best be evaluated if the amount of the input to get a particular output is not exceeded. This can be monitored by an expert( experimentation before implemention).
Question 3:
The best way to enhance power generation and consumption is by shifting for optinuum utilization is by shifting to always available energy resource. For example, shifting to the natural and renewable source like the solar and so on.
Then ensuring that the content that makes up the above sources are environmentally friendly..
Choosing environmentally friendly solutions to control the gases being emitted into the earths atmosphere is an area that calls for alarm even in Nigeria as other developing countries have been wise enough to take measurable steps towards eliminating the use of gas emitting fuels for their various machinery and innovating other environmental friendly energy generation techniques other than fuels..
