The Society Is Technically Against The Woman – Leo Ekeh

Digital entrepreneur and Chairman Zinox Group, Leo Stan Ekeh at the recent African FinTech Foundry  (AFF)Conference stated that the society is technically against the woman. According to him, women are far more disadvantaged in all facets of technology compared to their male counterpart and this is so because society has restricted her to domestic duties.

He advised women to marry men of high intellect who wouldn’t feel inferior at their big dreams but will rather be supportive. He stated that women are by far more credible entrepreneurs than men, as in the case of his parents.
Mr Ekeh queried the Nigerian government for being technically backward compared to other nations in the world that are trailblazing the path of technological disruptions. He mentioned that the Nigerian government does not understand him; they are analogue, just like the rest of Africa.

Still on the subject of women in technology, Adia Sowho, Managing Director and Vice President of Mines Nigeria, a Fintech startup and a leading financial inclusion provider narrated on how she first had reservations in employing female staff in her company. She, however, mentioned that at the moment the female population of her working staff far outnumbered the male counterparts in the company.
