The Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE) has taken Online payment services to a new level by integrating an open source solution which uses the paystack solutions.
The National Chairman of the Institute, Engr. John Funso-Adebayo made this known to the Council during the 2019 National Retreat held in Lagos. The National Retreat is an annual event which is held to review and evaluate previous year’s activities and projections and also allow for the year’s planning.
The event was attended by ten past national chairmen and chapter chairmen across the country. It afforded the Institute the opportunity to look back and project for the year. The Institute has been implementing her Midterm Strategic planning in the past four years.
During the Retreat, the original copy of the landed property survey document acquired by the Institute was presented to the national chairman by Abuja chapter Vice Chairman Engr. Amalu Ikechukwu. The Lagos Chapter Chairman Engr. Mojeed Olaosegba also presented the original CAC document of the Institute’s registration.
As a member of the NIEEE, it is now possible to make payments in three minutes via www.nieee.org.ng by clicking on the Payments button. The available payments are ICEPT fee(s), Building Levy(ies), NIEEE and Annual membership due(s), for all categories. The Institute plans to integrate the newly updated database of the NIEEE to the website and allow profile editing. Engr. John Funso-Adebayo concluded that the future will be to print a digital membership certificate of the NIEEE when the site is fully integrated.
